Title: Mother Nature

Artist’s Statement:

The inspiration for this painting is from a photograph by Ellen Von Unwerth.

I reimagined the subject as an idealized and sexualized Mother Nature .

The addition of the Bluebird and Robin aide in creating a triangular perspective to frame her. Bluebirds in mythology and  folklore represent a rebirth and springtime.

Robins are thought to represent a message from a loved one who has died, “ Robins appear when loved ones are near”
